Egyptian teacher recorded beating children by wife – ARRESTED

The brutal video appeared on social media like Facebook and YouTube on August 3, 2014 , with 104, 603 shares on Facebook as of August 26, 2014 and viewed more than 20,000 times on YouTube as of August 5, 2014.  Although this is not the first Egyptian teacher/student physical abuse, this is one of the worst.

The teacher’s wife, Elham Eid Awad, secretly filmed her orphanage manager husband beating many children using, as his weapons of choice, a stick and then kicking them until they began to cry.  One little girl didn’t even cry out which says this is not the first time she has been a party to this severe abuse at the hands of this teacher or perhaps others in the school

‘He used to beat the children and that’s why I filmed him and uploaded it online in order to expose him,’ Elham Eid Awad was quoted as saying to a news agency.

The video shone another bad light into the already suffering Egypt causing the Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sissi to call for steps to bring ‘wrongdoers’ to justice and Othman, the man in the video, was arrested on August 4, 2014 just one day after the video had surfaced on social media

The teacher claims he treated the orphans like his own children and was disciplining them after they turned on the TV & opened the refrigerator door without his approval.

It would be nice to say this was the one and only time that Othman had been recorded while abusing the children but sadly, it is not.  His wife gave more than one video of abuse to the prosecutors to provide more proof of the monster her husband had become.

the good news, if there is any, is that the children were removed by order of the Social Solidarity Minister, Ghada Wali, and transferred to another orphanage.

An activist with the handle @GhadaEgyptologist tweeted: ‘The kids are so happy, as if they just got freed from a prison’.

If Othman is convicted he may be facing jail time of seven years, according to legal Egyptian legal experts.

Is it 100% for sure that he will even face jail time at all?  No unfortunately it is not.  Sadly the abuse is happening all over Egypt and I have one blog showing how the government and law authorities turn a blind eye to pimp our their daughters to Arab visitors.

I am not sure what passing the video around did to help those children but the wife did something by turning him in herself.  I am very glad the wife did the right thing at peril, I’m sure, to herself.

I will not post the video here as I do not feel it serves a purpose to re-abuse those children all over again.  I am only posting two images to show you what the content of the video shows.  It’s up to you if you want to view the video online.

Thank you for reading my blog and have a fantabulous day.
