What’s on my mind right now

Right now I am thinking about Disneyland with my grandson. I can’t wait for it and literally am counting sleeps like a kid. The great thing is my grandson has no idea he is going! We are so excited to be making plans for this once in a lifetime adventure. Last thing on my mind when I go to sleep and first thing on my mind when I wake up. Cars land here we come!

Right now I am thinking about President Obama’s speech for the State Of The Union and I still think he is one of the best presidents, if not the best president, the United States have ever had. When I think about the President, I think about smiling and peace for some reason. He has always seemed so genuine to me. I know the haters are still gonna hate him no matter what he says, but judging by the many positive posts I’ve seen today all over the net, he is moving in the right direction. No one is perfect, not even the President of the United States.

Right now I am thinking about tragedy which has once more struck out young people who have made the deadly choice of committing suicide. I still think that many parent’s and caregivers do not know the signs and symptoms of depression so they miss them. It’s not their fault. Today I read the news three young people committed suicide and it makes me sad. If only there was a way to reach out to young people everywhere and let them know that no matter how badly they feel, they can get through it with guidance, support and eventually learning to love themselves for the beautiful people they are and will become. Right now I send my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost someone in their lives to suicide.

Right now I wonder how some people can be so damaged that they don’t see they need help but are quick to point at others when they suspect they are doing well. I can’t find it in my heart to hate anyone these days. I look at people who are rude and insulting, as damaged and in need of assistance. I don’t believe that a rude and insulting person would choose to be that way if they had a choice. To all those who seek to damage others because they are damaged, I send you my hugs and support. You can and will get through this. You are amazing.

Right now I am thinking about The Grammy’s and in particular Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert, Madonna, Queen Latifah and 33 couples who had the opportunity to be married on the show. Some couples were boy girl and others were boy boy or girl girl but they all shared the same thing, the same love. Some people call it a political move and it shouldn’t have been done and then there are the rest of us who accept that not everything fits into a nice little box. I think that in our world today, we need more love and not less. Who are we to judge who is right and who is wrong in who we choose to love?

Right now I am thinking about Carol Todd and Amanda. They never leave my mind as strange as that sounds. Sure many people may not recognize either name but for me, they are life changing and amazing. Amanda made some mistakes, which many kids are still making, but her death was not based on one mistake, it was based on a mental health illness which others took control of in the worst way. I read Carol’s blog today about mental health and what Bell Canada did yesterday, and I am always amazed this woman has such incredible strength. I think that Carol is changing things for other’s children so the same thing will not happen. We both believe that talking about the hard subjects are the only way to fix them. Right now I send a huge cyber hug to Carol and a pat on the back for what she is doing.

Right now I am thinking about you. I am wondering how you are today. Are you okay? I want to thank you so much for reading my blogs and for your comments. You are an amazing person too. If there were no readers, I would be talking to myself! lol Sounds a lot like marriage and raising kids! Thank you very much and I hope you have a great day filled with a ton of good memories.

Remember you can’t change yesterday or tomorrow but you can make today the best day. x
